The bravest of all,
you carry the weight – the burden,
the silent drum in your chest,
a heart carved from iron and fear,
willing – always willing –
to protect what we hold dear.
So go, Soldier, go.

Leaving –
smile masking the tear,
a farewell wrapped in hope,
faith tight in your grip,
not sure if this is goodbye –
or just a pause, a breath,
before the storm breaks.
You take off – still smiling, still strong –
So go, Soldier, go.

Sacrifice –
the hardest word, the longest shadow –
family, friends, unborn dreams left waiting,
all on your shoulders, a mountain you wear like armor.
How brave can one be?
Brave enough to go anyway.
So go, Soldier, go.

Planes roar, engines burning –
you wave – not just goodbye –
but promise, courage painted on your face.
The day arrives, electric, sharp –
eager, ready –
to fight, to save, to protect –
So go, Soldier, go.

Hero –
not the myth, not the mask,
but the blood, the sweat,
the heart laid bare on the battlefield.
Your aim: to stand until every shadow flees –
until safety blooms in the ruins.
So go, Soldier, go.

Born to the beat of a different drum –
once a baby with toys,
now a man with a mission,
soldier growing in the silence,
growing in the storm –
Ready.

So go, Soldier, go.

  1. Thank you for reading ‘Go Soldier’. This piece was written from a place of deep respect and emotional truth – not just for the uniform, but for the human being inside it. Every line carries the weight of sacrifice, the pulse of courage, and the quiet fear that soldiers carry with them.
If you’ve served, are serving, or love someone who has – this is for you.

Feel free to share your thoughts, stories, or tributes below. Let’s make this space one of remembrance, gratitude, and solidarity.
    Peace, strength, and respect.
